There’s still some time before the NBA regular season starts in earnest. However, that doesn’t stop James Harden from making fellow NBA players look foolish in a more casual setting. The Rockets guard played pick-up ball with Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter and Los Angeles Lakers sharpshooter Danny Green. Based on the video recorded of the scrimmage, it seemed like Harden is ready to get on the court and play.

The two most outstanding visuals of his play were showcased in the video early on.
The first clip had Kanter guarding Harden near the center circle. With Kanter leaning in too close, he passed the ball through his legs and got away from the center for the beautiful alley-oop pass.
However, it’s his move against Danny Green that is the most tantalizing. He has pulled off the one-legged three-pointer multiple times last season. And from the looks of things, it seems like he has perfected the move. In fact, he has started the One Leg Challenge where he reposted videos of his followers mimicking his extremely difficult shot.
One thing the defending scoring champions cannot shake off is questions of his chemistry with Russell Westbrook, though. While they spent their early years together with the Oklahoma City Thunder, they have developed into different players since Harden left for Houston in 2012.
Westbrook believes that they can make it work:
“We’ve done it in Oklahoma City. Many times in Oklahoma City, James, he closed the game as the primary ball-handler, and I played off the ball. It’s totally fine for me because, like I have said before, offensively and scoring and having the ball in my hands is not the only thing I can do for the game. I do a lot of great things for the game and I look forward to doing that with this team as well.”
What Westbrook says definitely works on paper, but fans and pundits wouldn’t know until they’ve played an actual game together. Until then, fans can enjoy Harden playing top hoops in the offseason.
