Video Of This Texas High School Football Facility Is Going Viral

From middle school to the NFL, football is the top dog among sports in the state of Texas. So it should come as no surprise that a top high school program in the state recently got outfitted with state-of-the-art facilities.

Earlier this week, Marshall High School, which competes in Class 5A – the second-highest level of high school football in Texas, revealed footage of brand new facilities.

The video shows a new entrance, weight room, player lounge, and even a glowing logo display.

Marshall High School’s new facilities have quickly gone viral:

Our new Entrance, Weight Room, Graphics, and Players Lounge. So thankful for this staff.. the painting, wood work, cleaning, and sweat equity invested to make this happen for our kids! #WeAreMarshall#ActionsOverWords #LegacyCampaign@BSNSPORTS@waterboy_tx@UnderArmour@dctf

Now that’s a program that could give LSU’s fancy new football facility a run for its money.

But perhaps in the wake of the recent controversy surrounding LSU’s swanky new facilities, the Marshall football program was quick to point out that they raised the money themselves.

The school made it clear in a tweet that the facilities were paid for by “boosters and the community.” They also pointed out that the education and arts programs have not suffered because of the dedication to football.

Was not funded by taxes, but by private donations from boosters & the community.

As for the arts: one of the most respected choir programs in the state. Band boasts over 200.

Brand new schools for every student k-8 opened in 2017.

Priorities are in order. Thanks for asking

Marshall High School is the alma mater of Hall of Fame quarterback Y.A. Tittle. But the Mavericks have been an elite program for many decades.

They won the 5A State Championship in 1990, and were State Finalists in 2004 and 2005. Additionally, they’ve made six straight appearances in the 5A playoffs.
