Raptors struggle in 4th quarter of Game 1, Kyle Lowry only player to make a FG for team

The Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks played a hard-fought Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Raptors were coming off a thrilling Game 7 in the previous round in which Kawhi Leonard produced one of the wildest buzzer-beaters in winner-take-all games in NBA history, but now the team had to turn around and duke it out against a well-rested Bucks team that had the best record in the NBA in the regular season.

The game started off well for Toronto, and heading into halftime, the “We The North” crew held an eight-point lead going into the second half, 59-51.

From that point on, the game would get very close, and with 3:30 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Raptors held a slim lead of 100-98. Then, the Bucks went on a 10-0 run as the game clock wound down – allowing the Bucks to win 108-100.

Kyle Lowry, long discussed as a playoff choker, was the best player on the court for the Raptors, and he ended the game with 30 points and 7 made triples. In fact, per ESPN Stats & Info, Lowry was the only player on the Raptors to score in the entire fourth quarter:

The Bucks take Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals with a 108-100 win over the Raptors.

Milwaukee closed the game on a 10-0 run.

Sadly for Raptors fans, none of those buckets came in the final 3:30 of the contest, as one of his best shot attempts was rejected by Giannis Antetokounmpo late in the game.

The Raptors will surely regroup, but failing to score for over three minutes is a tough way for any team to lose Game 1 on the road.
