Nikola Vucevic is happy to see his Orlando Magic teammate Evan Fournier and France beat Team USA and move to the semifinals of the FIBA World Cup; however, he has a little concern.
After France surprised the world by taking down the title favorites in the quarterfinals, 89-79, Vucevic quickly took it to Twitter to share his reaction. However, his first thought was not about the shocking result but about Fournier and how will his teammate act following their success against the defending champions.
Oh man we will never hear the end of this now

Of course, it’s all about bragging rights, and Fournier unarguably has it over his Magic teammate. For what it’s worth, Vucevic played for Montenegro in the competition, though the team wasn’t able to make it out for the preliminary group stage.
Moreover, Fournier didn’t just watch from the sidelines. In fact, he led France in scoring against Team USA, finishing with 22 points.
Fournier is tied for the fourth-best performance in China at 21 points a game. He is also contributing to the team’s ball movement with his 3.8 assist averages. Meanwhile, Vucevic averaged 14.6 points and 6.4 rebounds in five appearances for Montenegro.
Fournier and France will be playing Argentina in the semifinals. And while he certainly doesn’t like to hear Fournier brag, Vucevic is surely supporting his teammate.
