Houston Rockets Reportedly Working On Trade For Andre Iguodala

On Thursday night, the Houston Rockets acquired former NBA MVP Russell Westbrook from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Houston shipped Chris Paul, two first-round picks and two future pick swaps to the Thunder for Westbrook.

That trade shocked the NBA world, but the Rockets don’t appear to be done just yet.

According to multiple reports, Houston is working on another trade. The Rockets are reportedly on the hunt for former Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala.

Houston’s “top priority” is landing the former NBA Finals MVP in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Earlier Friday morning, New York Times insider Marc Stein revealed the Grizzlies are hoping to land a first-round pick for Iguodala.

“There is some belief within league circles that the Grizzlies are prepared to take Andre Iguodala into the season unless they receive a trade offer featuring a future first-round pick,” Stein reported.

Memphis landed Iguodala and a protected first-round pick in a trade with the Golden State Warriors this offseason. Golden State shipped Iguodala to Memphis in order to make room for guard D’Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Brooklyn Nets.

Now it looks like Iguodala will land on a contender – and one of Golden State’s rivals.
