Here’s a sampling of government offices and other services closed for Presidents Day, also known as Washington’s Birthday holiday, on Feb. 17.

 

Banks: Most banks are closed. Financial markets are closed.

Government: City, county, federal and state offices, libraries and superior courts are closed.

Mail: The U.S. Postal Service does not deliver. bit.ly/2SecYww

Schools: Most schools, including Los Angeles community colleges, are closed. Cal State Northridge is open.

Transit: Buses and subway services in Los Angeles run on a regular schedule (www.metro.net) as do Metrolink trains (www.metrolinktrains.com).

Trash: Regular schedule in Los Angeles (www.lacitysan.org), Burbank (bit.ly/2zmo1LD) and Glendale (bit.ly/1Pvpsqa)
