With only two weeks left in the regular NFL season, the league released the playoff scenarios for week 17.
There are 11 teams in the position to win anything in the NFL playoff picture. There are three teams – the Ravens (# 1 in the AFC), the Bills (# 5 in the AFC) and the Vikings (# 6 in the NFC) – who playoff their seeds for the final week of the season have completed. Here are the scenarios for week 17:
Clinch a playoff birth
Oakland Raiders (7-8) (in Denver Broncos (6-9), 4:25 p.m.): The greatest opportunity. Oakland can secure a playoff spot if they win against the Broncos, the Colts against the Jaguars, the Steelers against the Ravens and the Titans against the Texans. Oakland would also need one of the patriots, lions, chargers, or bears to win or win a winning tiebreaker against the Steelers.
Dallas Cowboys (7-8) (vs. Washington Redskins (3-2), 4:25 p.m.): Can win the NFC East Division title if they defeat the Redskins and lose the Eagles against the Giants.
Philadelphia Eagles (8-7) (in Giants (4-11), 4:25 p.m.): Philadelphia can win the NFC East title with a win or a draw against the Giants, or if the Cowboys lose or play a draw with the Redskins.
Pittsburgh Steelers (8-7) (in Baltimore Ravens (13-2), 4:25 p.m.): If Pittsburgh beats the ravens and the titans lose or draw level against the Texans, the Steelers can secure a playoff spot. If the Steelers lose the Ravens and Tennessee to Houston, Pittsburgh will win a playoff spot. If the Titans lose in Week 17 and the Colts win while the Raiders lose or tie to the Broncos, the Steelers decide. When the titans lose, colts win and the steelers tie the raiders in the winning tiebreaker, the steelers get on. They would only bind Oakland if the Vikings, packers, chiefs, and dolphins all won.
Tennessee Titans (8-7) (at Houston Texans (10-5), 4:25 p.m.): Tennessee is in a simple win-and-in scenario. In the event of a tie, the Titans will lose or draw in Pittsburgh. In the event of a loss or a tie in Pittsburgh, Tennessee will lose to Steelers and a loss or tie to Colts as a wild card.

Secure a first-round farewell
Kansas City Chiefs (11-4) (vs. Los Angeles Chargers (5-10), 1:00 p.m.): A win over chargers combined with a loss of patriots against the dolphins.
New England Patriots (12-3) (against Miami Dolphins (4-11), 1:00 p.m.): A win and / or draw over Miami would ensure a reunion and loss or draw of the chief against Chargers.
Green Bay Packers (12-3) (in Detroit Lions (3-11-1), 1:00 p.m.): Can win a first round by defeating the Lions or defeating the Saints against the Falcons. A Packers tie in combination with a 49ers tie or a Saints tie also brings the Packers together again.
New Orleans Saints (12-3) (in Carolina Panthers (5-10), 1 p.m.): A win over the Panthers combined with a defeat / draw against Green Bay or a …read more
