Needing a defensive stop on 4th-and-goal in the final seconds of the first half to keep the game close, the Arizona Cardinals’ defense executed perfectly and stonewalled the 49ers at the goal line. The only problem? Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury called a timeout just before the snap, which gave the San Francisco offense a second chance to score a touchdown.
The 49ers then quick-snapped the ball threw a touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders to put the 49ers up by two scores.

To make matters worse for Arizona, the 49ers will receive the ball to start the second half. Fans watching the game roasted Kingsbury for the timeout.
Kliff Kingsbury is indeed an innovator. Never seen a coach ice his own defense. Revolutionary.

Kliff Kingsbury just froze his own defense. Bold strategy.

I’m still optimistic about Kingsbury’s future in the league but he’s had some catastrophic in-game decisions this year

Kingsbury just can’t help himself, the guy loves offense

Solid use of a timeout, tremendous coaching by Cardinals Kliff Kingsbury, he’ll be coaching the Permian High Panthers next season. “Really liked the timeout in that spot.”
